Longboards
longboards
During the during of this pandemic I began exploring how to make longboards at home. I had previously made a longboard deck while at school using the industrial design studio’s shop and tools. At home it was more difficult, there were no pre-made molds, I didn’t have a large scale vacuum former, and my tools for sanding were all hand held. I first attempted a simple pintail with a slight concave down the middle. My next one was a replication of the free rider I made during school. My next three were attempting to push my wood bending methods with a dancing longboard, a smaller cruiser with a mild fishtail cutout, and lastly a mini cruiser.
Since the pandemic, I have slowly continued to make the odd longboard if I have the means and access to a work area, tools, and time. They are continuously added to this page, both a final photo and work in progress videos as I have them.
Enjoy :D
